Now that you've reviewed class web pages created by other
teachers, it's time to start planning your very own class web.
 | Set goals. What do you hope to accomplish with your site? |
 | Think about your audience. Are you developing your class web
for your students, their parents, the community, or all three? |
 | Decide how much time you are willing to spend on creating and
maintaining your site. Do you want to commit to frequent
updates, or do you prefer to include more stagnant information that
requires only occasional updating? |
 | Now decide what information you want to provide for your
audience. Some ideas: |
 | Your rules and expectations |
 | Your grading policy |
 | Major curricular units |
 | Homework or project assignments and deadlines |
 | Links to web sites that complement your curriculum |
 | Information about yourself |
 | Field trip information |
 | Schedule of special classes (elementary) |
 | Student work |
 | Student of the Week |
 | Using Inspiration software, develop a plan for your class web,
showing how the pages will link together. Your web will look
something like this: |
 | Print your Inspiration web to use as a guide while developing your
class web. |
