Mission: To assist the Keystone School District in the funding of academic and technological innovation and to reward students and teachers for both educational achievement and excellence.

Foundation Goals:

To ensure and increase community and public involvement in our school district.

To enhance educational and technological opportunities for all students

To encourage all Keystone School District alumni to support the foundation through annual gifts by class and/or memorials as a way of giving back to the school and community.

To create initiatives which support imagination and creative teaching opportunities of excellence and innovation.

To support teachers' competitive mini-grants for creative and innovative student projects. Grants will be evaluated on their uniqueness and educational impact for instructional technology.

Technological Initiatives
Assistance in providing advanced technology to facilitate innovative educational district programs.

Individual Student Development/Need Grants
To support students who may require assistance to participate in District programs such as field trips, etc., and to ensure students' personal needs are met and that they are prepared to participate in the day-to-day educational programs.

One scholarship will be presented annually to a graduating Keystone senior with a minimum grade average of 90.5% who will attend an approved technology program at a college or licensed technical institute.

A. J. Johnson, (right) manager of the Knox branch of Farmer's National Bank, has presented a check to Vern Lauffer, Keystone Education Foundation treasurer, annually from 2010-2012. The donations are used to fund teacher mini-grants for technology integration.

Mr. Jim Kifer (right), President of Clarion County Community Bank, presented a $10,000 check to the Keystone School District Education Foundation in September 2008. Accepting the donation are Mr. John Mason, President of the Keystone School District Education Foundation, and Dr. Jean Atkin Gool, Superintendent of the Keystone School District.
