Each spring, those students enrolled in any of the
level Spanish classes have an opportunity to participate in a field trip that
directly relates to some aspect of the Spanish language or culture.
Student participation in this activity is voluntary. In the past we have
attended Spanish or Mexican dance productions, theater productions such as Don
Quijote and The Barber of Seville, the Nationality Rooms at the
Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh campus, and the John Heinz
Regional Historical Center. We also visit a Mexican or Spanish restaurant
for lunch. In the past the students have been responsible for the cost of
both the activity and their meal. Information is provided to the students at the
beginning of April for attendance in May. Stay tuned for information about
our upcoming field trip for the spring of 2005!
