Lesson 2--Keyword Search Engines

 

The second kind is a keyword search engine. This type of search engine sends out a "spider"--software, not a bug--to find as many web sites as possible that contain the keyword you put in the search box. The search engine then stores the pages that the spider finds on its web server.  
  I get it. When I type a keyword in the search box, the keyword search engine looks for the web pages containing that word on its web server.
