Dear Parent / Guardian:
Caring Week will be celebrated Monday, February 12th through Friday, February 16th. During the week, students will learn about the character trait Caring, which teaches students the importance of showing kindness, compassion, and generosity.
Students will learn about caring for themselves and others throughout the week.
Here is a list of things you may do at home to reinforce the caring message:
*Talk with your child about the importance of helping others. Remind your child that he or she has the opportunity to brighten someone else’s day through a simple act of kindness.
*Catch your child caring!
*Try to find activities that you can do together as a family to make a difference in someone’s life (community service project).
*Watch a television show or movie together and discuss the various ways in which the characters acted caring (or uncaring) toward one another.
